Advice for your aircraft
Aviation insurance explained
I advise you on purchasing aviation insurance for private, aerial work or commercial aircraft, and I act as intermediary with insurance companies authorized by the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP).
Aviation insurance is designed for aircraft owners and operators. Depending on the policy, it may cover physical damage to the aircraft, civil liability for third-party damage and personal accidents of crew and passengers, as well as baggage, cargo and certain ground activities.
What is aviation insurance?
Aviation insurance consists of policies issued by insurance companies to cover the risks inherent to air activity. Depending on the company and the plan purchased, they may include civil liability toward third parties on board and not on board, damage to the aircraft from accident or theft, and loss of cargo and baggage. Some special risks, such as war or confiscation, are usually purchased as an add-on.
These policies may also include personal accident coverages for crew and passengers, with medical and pharmaceutical assistance and funeral expenses, as well as coverages for hangars, repair shops and airport operators. The conditions, limits and exclusions vary according to the type of aircraft, its use and the experience of the pilots.

What do I need to request a quote?
Aviation insurance is quoted case by case. The insurance company generally asks for the following information and may request additional data or documents:
- National ID card or RUC (tax ID) of the owner or operator.
- Make, model, year of manufacture and registration of the aircraft.
- Intended use: private, instruction, aerial work or transport.
- Value of the aircraft to be insured.
- Licenses and flight hours of the pilots.

The quote is a no-obligation request: it does not commit you to purchase.
