Advice for your industry

Industrial insurance explained

I advise you on purchasing industrial insurance for factories, plants and warehouses, and I act as intermediary with insurance companies authorized by the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP) so that your company has a policy suited to its risks.

Industrial insurance is designed for companies in the industrial sector and the specific risks of their activity. Depending on the policy purchased, it may cover facilities, machinery, inventory and civil liability toward third parties.

What is industrial insurance?

Industrial insurance consists of policies issued by insurance companies for factories, production plants, warehouses and workshops. Depending on the coverages purchased, they usually include property damage to buildings, facilities, machinery and inventory caused by fire, explosion, natural events or theft, in addition to civil liability for third-party damage.

Their purpose is to reduce the financial impact of a loss and help the company resume its activity. Some policies allow you to add coverages such as machinery breakdown, electronic equipment or loss of profits due to stoppage. The sums insured, deductibles and exclusions depend on each company and on the risk assessment, which often includes an inspection of the plant.

Why arrange your industrial insurance through me?

I am Cinthia Careaga de Camé, Insurance Agent with License No. 2552, and I serve clients from Hernandarias, Alto Paraná. I am not an insurance company: I advise you and act as intermediary with the insurers authorized by the Central Bank of Paraguay (BCP), which are the ones that issue the policy and settle claims.

  • Risk survey: I review with you the facilities, processes and assets that are worth insuring.
  • Proposals explained: I help you compare coverages, sums insured, deductibles and exclusions.
  • Policy management: I take care of the issuance process, renewals and endorsements when your assets or your activity change.
  • Claims support: I guide you in reporting the claim and follow up on the process with the company.
What do I need to request a quote?

Information about the company and the assets to be insured is generally needed. The insurance company may ask for additional data or inspect the plant before issuing the policy.

  • RUC (tax ID) and company details.
  • Activity and a brief description of the processes.
  • Location and characteristics of the buildings: type of construction and prevention and security measures.
  • Estimated values of buildings, machinery, equipment and inventory.
  • Claims history and policies currently in force, if any.

The quote is a no-obligation request and does not commit you to purchase.
